Sunny half-term ski trip success

6th March 19

The King Alfred Snow Team were skiing the French slopes of Les Menuires this February Half Term sporting their snazzy green helmet covers and new baby-blue hoodies. The snow conditions were perfect and the sun shone all week!

Staying in a ski-in, ski-out location meant that the students met their ski instructors at 9am at the foot of the hotel. The morning consisted of three hours of skiing in amazing snow conditions and brilliant sunshine.

The 40 students and five staff members were then treated to wonderful hot lunches at the hotel. The  amazing food helped everyone to refuel after a high energy morning.

After basking in the sun and blasting songs from their balconies, students would then continue skiing for another two hours in the afternoon.

Après Ski included the Speed mountain rollercoaster, bum boarding, movie and quiz nights and a scavenger hunt.

Some of the highlights included: taking the sixth form students out to the local club and Jeff busting some serious dad moves on the dance floor, students reaching 70mph on the slopes, Peter crashing into a restaurant’s tables and chairs, Tom doing the laundry, the beautiful scenery and getting lots of fresh mountain air.

A big thank you to Jeff for organising yet another wonderful and successful ski trip! Jeff is currently organising and taking bookings for the 2020 ski trip to Tignes. Sign up now! Speak to Jeff or any other member of the ski team (Henri, Jo, Peter and Tom) if you are interested!
