Our Upper School and Sixth Form students had so much fun on this year’s ski trip to Canada!
Each morning began with a huge choice for breakfast from eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, cereal, and fruit – all smothered in oceans of maple syrup. Then it was off to hit the slopes. Everyone made excellent progress, but it was especially lovely to see how much better the beginners were by the end of the week.
The ski school were very impressed with our students, although it did make us chuckle that they thought we were The King Arthur School.
A special mention must go out to Lynne who was a turns expert by the end of the week despite preferring superfast straight lines early on.
After skiing, our students took part in some fantastic evening activities. Eleanor’s quiz was a big hit although there was some controversy that the winning team ‘may’ have cheated on the tie-break question.
The scavenger hunt drew out some imaginative entries from our students including a chocolate ice cream bribe, a spider made from sticks and a cup, a vicious poem to the staff from Alicia, the longest icicle that we have ever seen, and a haiku from Arthur:

Sometimes I only see Jeff

On their final morning, the students visited a water park to get cleaned up for the flight home.
This was such a successful ski trip that our staff are already planning the next one – watch this space!
