Year 12 students ran a Ukrainian Food Festival Fundraiser last week, and it was a massive success!
Our students sold a range of delicious traditional Ukrainian food including Pirozhki (small hand pies), Borscht, and Draniki, all provided by Russian restaurant Zima.
The restaurant offered to help after speaking to Andrii, one of our students who came to the UK due to the war in Ukraine.
The goal of the fundraiser was to celebrate Ukrainian culture through food, mark one year since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, and raise some money in the process. Our students raised £453.66 for With Ukraine, the humanitarian fund of the Ukrainian Embassy in the UK.
Andrii told us “I really want to help Ukraine finish this war as fast as we can. I’m really grateful to everybody who helps me and who helps Ukrainian especially in this school.”
We’re so proud of our students for all the hard work they put into the fundraiser and for making a positive impact on the world.
