Poetry please: National Poetry Day

13th October 20

World Poetry Day came around again on October 1st which the school marked with our annual poetry competition in the Upper School. This year’s theme was ‘Vision’ and we were thrilled to be inundated with entries. Some of the poems we read were thought provoking, some humorous, all were carefully crafted and a joy to read.

This year marked the first time Lower School got involved with loads of lovely poems flowing from the pens of our younger students. Each class was presented with a poetry book to celebrate their contributions.

A special mention goes to our staff entries and Shyama who won this year’s golden quill for her composition.

Well done everyone and keep writing!
